VCAD
Design by voice.
Describe the part, and VCAD builds it in your CAD package and checks it against real fabrication rules as it goes: what a press brake can bend, what fits on a stock sheet, what hardware actually fits. Built by intelligence, released by an engineer.

From a sentence to a buildable model
VCAD's value isn't the CAD connection. It's the engineering and manufacturing knowledge in between. That knowledge doesn't depend on any one CAD package, so VCAD is being built to work across several.
Say it
Push-to-talk voice or a typed command in the VCAD Hub. Anything risky is read back for confirmation.
Check it
The rules engine checks bend limits, stock sheet, IP design target, door hardware and finish, and raises holds where something is open.
Build it
VCAD drives the CAD package to build the sheet-metal model from a parametric template with named parameters, and flat patterns that match.
Release it
A data sheet and decision record go with every build. An engineer accepts the values before anything is issued.
Knowledge that generic AI-for-CAD doesn't have
Plenty of tools can now let AI click buttons in CAD. VCAD focuses on what those tools leave out: the specification and fabrication knowledge that decides whether a design can be built.
Built for the press brake
Folded sheet-metal construction, kept within press-brake tooling limits, with flat patterns checked against stock sheet sizes.
"Designed to", never "rated"
Designs state "Designed to IPxx (IEC 60529)". A rating needs physical type testing, and VCAD never claims one it hasn't earned.
Proven hardware sets
Hinge, seal and lock are fixed per type variant, so door swing and seal compression are proven in CAD rather than hoped for.
A design space, not a catalogue
Every rule learned on a standard enclosure becomes a general rule, so the end goal is free design from rules, not picking from a list.
Where VCAD is heading
VCAD is in active research and development. Here's the path as it stands.
First voice-built enclosure
Voice commands through the VCAD Hub building sheet-metal enclosures in CAD, with matching flat patterns.
Sound engineering practice built in
VCAD values carry Tradatum's basis tiers, holds and engineer decisions.
VCAD as a service
Clients describe what they need. VCAD designs it, and a PDF, DXF and data sheet are delivered with engineer sign-off.
More CAD packages
The rules layer is CAD-independent, and connectors for further CAD packages are planned, so you can design by voice in the tool you already use.
Claude built in
VCAD commands become tools an AI assistant can use, starting with checks, new parts and reports.
Free speech and manufacturing packs
Natural conversation instead of fixed phrases, nesting and material cost, and output for people without a CAD seat.
